Camping in Topaz!

Our latest adventure was a trip out to Topaz Mountain! My family has been going every year since I was a kid, and this year Todd got to tag along!

It was great to be outdoors in the dirt, although by the time Sunday rolled around, all of us were ready for a nice hot shower!

My Uncle Brian couldn't help making a rocket that is taller that Todd. When we launched it, it just kept going up, and up, and up, and up. Honestly, I can't remember if we found it again.. I think we did! ha ha

We also did some hiking around to find Topaz!

Target Shooting is also a main event of our trip. We spend a lot of time practicing our shooting skills. (Mine are a little rough.)


Prior to this trip, my uncle came up with the idea of making a potato cannon. He bought the supplies and put my brother in charge of making it. For being such a little cannon, it sure did pack a punch! We had potatoes launching about 100 yards!


We also managed to do a little off-roading! Nothing extreme but it sure was fun! The Liberty held true to its "trail rated" name!

On the way out to Topaz Mountain, we spotted some sand dunes on the side of the road. So, on the way back to St. George, we decided to stop and check them out!

We made sand angels!
